Dr Gunter ReiffLawyer & Tax consultant

Prior to commencing his career as a lawyer with the Financial Services department at Deloitte in Munich, he studied law in Mannheim and Munich and completed his doctorate at the University of Bayreuth on a topic of corporate law (Delisting).

He was admitted as a tax consultant in 2009. Together with the head of the prospectus auditing department at Deloitte, Dr Bernd Rüber, as well as other colleagues, he founded the auditing company RP Asset Finance Treuhand. Within a short time this company established itself in the branch as a respected “boutique” for collective capital investment schemes, including closed end funds.

Since the beginning of 2020, Dr Reiff has been a founding partner of WRG Finvestra Treuhand. With WRG Finvestra Treuhand he continues his well established and respected practice, expanding his areas of advice further to Special AIFs and institutional investors.

Dr Gunter Reiff is the author of numerous articles and a speaker on distribution sales law and regulatory issues. He is co-author of the fifth edition of the “Handbook of Commercial and Corporate Law” (published by Wachter) and the third edition of the KAGB commentary by Weitnauer/Boxberger/Anders.

Jens Grimm CPA (Germany) & Tax consultant

During his studies in business administration at the University of Marburg and the University of Cologne, Jens Grimm set his first focal points for his work as an auditor. He started his professional career in the field of auditing and tax consulting at Andersen in Düsseldorf. After Andersen was taken over by Ernst & Young, he continued his work in the Financial service division at Ernst & Young. In 2005 he was admitted as a tax consultant and in 2009 as a certified public accountant.

For many years he was a partner and managing director at optegra GmbH & Co. KG, Cologne (now Vistra GmbH & Co. KG, Cologne), a medium-sized auditing and tax consulting firm with a focus on consulting and auditing of capital market-oriented and regulated companies. He is an active member of the German Institute of certified public accountants (IDW) and co-author of the commentary on the German Capital Investment Act (KAGB) “Investment Laws”.

Dr Oliver Zander Lawyer

After his studies in Bonn, Lausanne and Munich and working as a research assistant at the Free University of Berlin Dr Zander commenced his legal career at the law firm of Deringer Tessin (today Freshfields) in Cologne in the areas of media, corporate law / M&A. He worked for five years as M&A lawyer in the City of London before becoming in-house counsel with KG Allgemeine Leasing (KGAL). During his time as KGAL, he became familiar with various fund structures, capital investment law and a variety of asset classes, including real estate, aviation and renewable energy.

Dr Zander continued his career during the following 15 years as a partner at the law firms GÖRG and Weitnauer, prior to founding WRG Finvestra together with Gunter Reiff and Jens Grimm. He advises on corporate law, capital markets law, regulatory law and M&A. Dr Zander is the author of numerous publications, among others in the handbook “German and European Banking and Capital Markets Law” (published by Derleder et al.), Compliance for closed-end funds (published by Renz/Jäger/Maas), the third edition of the KAGB commentary by Weitnauer/Boxberger/Anders as well as in the German-English template book published by Beck (labour law and law of partnerships).
